5 Months Old!

Dear Haven,

Another month gone by.  And another month of L-O-V-E.  I just can't get enough of you.  You are such a happy baby and so easy.  I am excited to go get you every morning and see those sweet smiles when you see me standing over your crib.  I love your snuggles in the morning.  You are so happy when you wake up and you love my kisses.  Thank goodness b/c you get a lot of them!  You've tried lots of new things this month!  You love the play mat with the toys that hang over your head, you have started playing in the exersaucer, and you can sit in the Bumbo.  You love a little rattle Gammie gave you too.  You have discovered how to make a high-pitched squeal and you show it to us often.  Sometimes it is when I'm not paying close attention to you, and sometimes it's just for fun.  You are really aware of Copper now.  You watch him walk around the living room and sometimes can't take your eyes off of him.  He doesn't know what he's in for!  This past month has been more of a challenge with sleeping.  After a trip to OKC and messing up your schedule, you started waking up in the middle of the night and it took a good week to get back on track.  Then a week or two after that, you started waking up in the middle of the night hungry.  And you went from going longer between feedings, to wanting to eat closer together.  So Mommy's diagnosis is a growth spurt!!  I'm hoping my little 10 hour sleeper will return soon!  You are wearing some 3-6 months clothes, and 6 months.  We will probably need to take a peak at the 6-9 stuff pretty soon to make sure we're not missing any of it if you can fit in it already.  Breaks my heart every time you grow out of something, the time is just going by too fast!  But at the same time, you are getting more and more playful, interactive, and giggly so I do love that about you getting older.  You love your hands... constantly putting your thumb, a couple fingers, or practically your whole fist in your mouth.  You recently found your feet too.  So I usually have to make you let go of them to change your diaper.  You rolled over yesterday morning!  I was beginning to wonder if you would ever do it again since you hadn't since that first time.  We have a fun month ahead, and I hope it drags on so I can soak you up.  I love you so much Haven Jane!

Camera Happy in Memphis

Last weekend, Aunt Rissa, her boyfriend Nathan, Havey-baby, and I drove to Memphis to celebrate my Nonna's birthday with my parents and most of my Dad's side of the family.  It was so good to see everyone!  And Haven did so great!  A little fussy in the car here and there, but a fabulous baby all weekend.  Everyone got to take a turn holding her and she was just so happy the whole time!  Everyone commented on how easy she is.  I'm so glad b/c if she had been a fussy girl, I'm sure it would have stressed me out!  We got to watch the LSU game and Haven was dressed for the occasion!  We had lots of fabulous food, great stories, and lots of laughs!  I love family time!  Only wished Russell could have been with us!  As usual, I got a little camera happy...

My Little Soprano

Aunt Marissa babysat Haven one day last week so I could go to dance class solo and get lots of work done.  Haven has been showing us her high-pitched squealing talent a lot lately, but this video sounds like she is trying to sing!  Another awesome thing about this video... Haven was really fussy on our way back from Memphis (more on that trip to come!) and this video was the only one that she would just glue her eyes to, stop crying, and watch herself.  She's too cute!  My little soprano!

Pumpkin Patch

I believe we have started a tradition! And if you know me, you know I love traditions!  After originally planning to go to the pumpkin patch on Friday, the boss around here (Haven) decided to have a rough night Thursday night, thus vetoing the pumpkin patch idea for Friday morning.  So we pushed it to Saturday and I'm so glad we did!  Haven was a happy girl and we got LOTS of pics!  And I mean lots...I hope you are good at scrolling down.  Enjoy!

My new favorite picture of our sweet girl!

I thought Russell was crazy for bringing Copper, but he did great!

I thought this was sweet... looks like she's petting him!

Check out that tongue... about to whack her in the face!  Parenting fail.

My two loves!!

Really Dad?!  You're gonna sit me on this pumpkin?

I love this one!

We had SO much fun!  I am excited to go every year from now on!  Hard to believe she will be running around out there next year!  Don't want to think about that just yet.  Oh, and just to prove my perfect looking child is a normal baby, there were a couple of these too...

Keepin' it real folks!  Only a couple like that though. :)  It's when that happens that you say, it's time to go! Ha!  I love my sweet little family and wouldn't trade it for the world.  I LOVE being a Mom and am so excited for all the fun adventures to come!
